
Microwave Chocolate Mug cake

Fancy a quick and easy chocolate cake? This is a great recipe to whip up when you don't feel like baking. Using simple pantry staples, our easy chocolate mug cake is a must try!
Ingredients
¼ cup flour
¼ cup white sugar
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
⅛ tsp baking soda
⅛ tsp salt
3 Tbsp milk
2 Tbsp oil
1 Tbsp water
¼ tsp vanilla extract
Method
In a microwave-safe mug, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
Pour in the wet ingredients: milk, oil, water, and vanilla extract into the mug. Stir until you have a smooth batter. Make sure to scrape the bottom and sides of the mug to fully incorporate all ingredients.
Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for about 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Cooking time may vary depending on your microwave's wattage. The cake should rise and then slightly collapse when it's done.
After microwaving, carefully touch the top of the cake to see if it springs back slightly and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
To serve:
Let the cake cool for a minute or two before enjoying it directly from the mug.
