Easy cheeseburger sliders
Sliders are smaller burgers, maybe two or three bites each, making them a great alternative to full sized burgers if you have a crowd to feed. Our recipe features onions, cheese and gherkins, but you can easily change these up with any of your favourite sauces or burger toppings! Browse more burger recipes.

- 2 onions, minced
- 2 tablespoons water
- 900g beef mince
- 20 round gherkin slices

- Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a pan. Add onion and saute until softened - about 2 minutes. Stir in the water and season with salt and pepper.
- Form 20 patties using 2 tablespoons of beef mince for each.
- Place on an oven tray and coat the patties with the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Press a gherkin slice into each pattie. Grill the patties for 5 minutes each side.
- Top patties with cheese during the final 30 seconds of grilling to melt.
- To build the slider, start by spreading the onions on the bottom half of each slider roll then place the burger pattie. Top with tomatoes, lettuce and condiments.
