What to look for in an air fryer

Here are our tip tips on what to look for when buying an air fryer:

  • Capacity – Choose the right size for your needs. Small air fryers (5-6 litres) work for singles or couples, while larger ones (8-10l) are perfect for families or batch cooking.
  • Wattage – Ensure it has enough wattage for quick, even cooking. Most air fryers range from 1600-2400 watts. Higher wattage means faster cooking times!
  • Features and settings – Look for adjustable temperature, pre-set cooking functions, and a timer for versatility. Bonus points for air fryers with dehydrating or grilling options.
  • Ease of cleaning – Opt for models with non-stick, dishwasher-safe baskets to make cleanup hassle-free. Removable, easy-to-clean parts are a must.
