What are Fuelup vouchers?
Fuelup vouchers give you a discount off fuel at Z petrol stations. You can earn Fuelup vouchers when you shop at certain PAK’nSAVE supermarkets that do not have a fuel site on premise.
Which supermarkets do I need to shop at?
You can earn Fuelup vouchers at participating PAK'nSAVE stores nationwide. View the full list of participating supermarkets here.
Where can I redeem my Fuelup vouchers?
You can redeem Fuelup vouchers at all Z service stations. In a small number of areas where Z doesn’t have a service station locally they have enabled other service stations to be able to accept Fuelup vouchers. This means no customer will be left without somewhere to use their Fuelup vouchers. See the list of all service stations where Fuelup vouchers can be redeemed here.
How much do I have to spend on groceries to get the discount?
To gain an everyday discount, you only need to spend $1 or more. We also offer other promotional discounts from time to time which may require you to spend more to gain the discount offered. Check your supermarket fuel voucher for the current offer.
How do I get my Fuelup voucher?
A Fuelup voucher is earned with a qualifying purchase. Participating store receipts will have the Fuel voucher attached.
What discount do I get?
The fuel saving depends on the Fuelup promotional offer at any given time. Check the Fuelup Supermarket Fuel Voucher for the current offer.
What kinds of fuel can I get the discount on?
Fuelup vouchers can be redeemed for regular and premium unleaded petrol plus diesel. LPG, CNG, AvGas purchases are excluded. Find more details of Z Energy fuels here.
How much fuel can I buy with my Fuelup voucher?
Fuelup vouchers offer a monetary discount per litre off the purchase cost of fuel – determined by the promotional fuel saving offer at any given time. Fuelup vouchers can be redeemed for up to 100 litres per fill.
How do I redeem my Fuelup voucher?
Fuelup vouchers must be presented at the counter or Pay at Pump of any Z service station or at any other redeeming service station to qualify for the fuel savings.
Can I use my Fuelup voucher more than once?
No, Fuelup vouchers can be used once only.
Can I use my Fuelup voucher to fill more than one vehicle?
No, the voucher is valid for only one single tank fill of no more than 100 litres.
Can I present more than one Fuelup voucher at a time?
No, you can present only one voucher at a time for a discount at the service station.
How long does my Fuelup voucher last for?
Fuel vouchers are valid for 30 days from the purchase date. The expiry date is printed on the voucher.
Can I use my commercial fleet card with my Fuelup voucher?
No, Fuelup vouchers cannot be used with commercial fleet/fuel cards including Z Business Card.
Can I use my Fuelup voucher with other fuel discount promotional offers?
No, Fuelup vouchers cannot be combined with other fuel discount promotional offers.
With Z accepting Fuelup Vouchers how will this impact other existing loyalty programmes at Z, like Flybuys or Airpoints?
Z will remain part of the Flybuys and Air New Zealand Airpoints loyalty programmes. You will be able to earn Flybuys points or Airpoints Dollars when you top up the tank at Z and scan your Flybuys earning Clubcard or Airpoints card. Please note you can’t use a Flybuys Pumped instant fuel discount for the same fuel purchase as you use a Fuelup voucher. If you present a Fuelup voucher with a Flybuys card your fuel discount will be determined by the Fuelup voucher, not the Flybuys Pumped discount advertised. You will remain eligible to collect Flybuys points.
Can I add a Fuelup Voucher discount to a Flybuys Pumped fuel discount to get a bigger overall fuel discount?
No, you must choose which of these discounts to use each time you fuel up. Good news though, you can still collect the Flybuys Points when you use a supermarket fuel discount.
Can I add a Fuelup Voucher discount to other fuel discount offers, to get a bigger overall fuel discount?
You’ll need to see the Terms and Conditions of that specific offer. Terms and Conditions are available here.
My Fuelup voucher doesn’t work - what should I do?
Sorry, we know it’s a pain but because the discounts are issued by your local supermarket you’ll need to talk to the store that issued you the Fuelup Voucher. They’ll then investigate and resolve the issue.
What sort of petrol does Z have?
Z has regular and premium unleaded petrol plus diesel. Find more details about Z Energy fuels here.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase a grocery gift card?
No, grocery gift cards are like legal tender, so the Fuelup voucher will be generated when you ‘spend’ the grocery gift card, not buy them.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase cigarettes or tobacco?
Cigarette or tobacco purchases do not contribute to the qualifying spend amount due to legal restrictions.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase a Lotto ticket?
No, a purchase of a NZ Lotteries ticket does not qualify as a valid purchase for a Fuel voucher, so you would need to reach the discount spend limit excluding the NZ Lotteries ticket purchase.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I deposit funds to my Christmas Club account?
No, like grocery gift cards, deposits to your Christmas Club account are like legal tender, so the Fuel voucher will be generated when you "spend" your Christmas Club funds, not deposit them.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I top up my travel card?
No, top ups of travel cards, such as AT Hop Cards and Snapper Cards do not contribute to the qualifying spend.
Can I get Fuelup vouchers at all PAK’nSAVE supermarkets?
No, some PAK’nSAVE supermarkets have a fuel outlet at their location, so they do not offer Fuelup vouchers. Instead, they offer discount vouchers for their own on-site fuel stations, so you will still earn fuel savings no matter which PAK’nSAVE you shop at. Can I get a Fuel voucher when I shop at PAK’nSAVE online shopping?
Yes, online purchases must be submitted (and any editing completed) during the promotional period to qualify for the offer. See Online shopping terms and conditions here.
