About Fuelup
What are Fuelup vouchers?
Fuelup vouchers give you a discount off fuel at Z and participating Caltex petrol stations. You can earn Fuelup vouchers when you shop at certain New World supermarkets that do not have their own on-site fuel station.
Fuelup vouchers are issued to customers who make a qualifying purchase instore from a participating PAK’nSAVE supermarket and do not swipe their Club+ card at checkout.
Why are Fuelup vouchers not available for Club+ members?

You can redeem Fuelup vouchers at all Z and participating Caltex service stations.
How do I get my Fuelup voucher?
A Fuelup voucher is earned with a qualifying purchase. Participating store receipts will have the Fuelup voucher attached.
How much do I have to spend on groceries to get the discount?
To gain an everyday discount, currently you only need to make a qualifying purchase with a minimum spend of $1 or more instore. We also offer other promotional discounts from time to time which may require you to spend more to gain the discount offered. Check your supermarket fuel voucher for the current offer.
What is a “qualifying purchase”?
Spend on certain products will not qualify. For example, spend on gift cards, tobacco products, NZ post products and services, Lotto, and some fees are excluded from earning a Fuelup voucher.

What discount do I get?
The fuel saving depends on the Fuelup promotional offer at any given time. Check the Fuelup Supermarket Fuel Voucher for the current offer.
What kinds of fuel can I get the discount on?
Fuelup vouchers can be redeemed for regular and premium unleaded petrol plus diesel. LPG, CNG, AvGas purchases are excluded. More information:

How much fuel can I buy with my Fuelup voucher?
Fuelup vouchers offer a monetary discount per litre off the purchase cost of fuel – determined by the promotional fuel saving offer at any given time. Fuelup vouchers can be redeemed for up to 100 litres per fill.
How do I redeem my Fuelup voucher?
Fuelup vouchers must be presented at the counter or Pay at Pump of any Z or participating Caltex service station.
Can I use my Fuelup voucher more than once?
No, Fuelup vouchers can be used once only.
Can I use my Fuelup voucher to fill more than one vehicle?
No, the voucher is valid for only one single tank fill of no more than 100 litres.
Can I present more than one Fuelup voucher at a time?
No, you can present only one voucher at a time for a discount at the service station.
How long does my Fuelup voucher last for?
Fuelup vouchers are valid for 30 days from the purchase date. The expiry date is printed on the voucher.
Can I use my commercial fleet card with my Fuel voucher?
No, Fuelup vouchers cannot be used with commercial fleet/fuel cards including Z Business Card.
Can I use my Fuelup voucher with other fuel discount promotional offers?
No, Fuelup vouchers cannot be combined with other fuel discount promotional offers.
Can I add a Fuelup Voucher discount to other fuel discount offers, to get a bigger overall fuel discount?

Can I get a Fuelup voucher when I shop at PAK’nSAVE online shopping?
You cannot earn a Fuelup voucher if you shop online. However, you may be eligible to earn a Club+ fuel discount. Find out more at clubplus.co.nz.
Fuelup vouchers are only available if you do not use your Club+ card and you must register as a Club+ member to use PAK’nSAVE’s online shopping service.
My Fuelup voucher doesn’t work - what should I do?
Sorry, we know it’s a pain but because the discounts are issued by your local supermarket you’ll need to talk to the store that issued you the Fuel Voucher. They’ll then investigate and resolve the issue.
What sort of petrol does Z have?

Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase a grocery gift card?
No, grocery gift cards are like legal tender, so the Fuel voucher will be generated when you ‘spend’ the grocery gift card, not buy them.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase cigarettes or tobacco?
Cigarette or tobacco purchases do not contribute to the qualifying spend amount due to legal restrictions.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase a Lotto ticket?
No, a purchase of a NZ Lotteries ticket does not qualify as a valid purchase for a Fuel voucher, so you would need to reach the discount spend limit excluding the NZ Lotteries ticket purchase.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I deposit funds to my Christmas Club account?
No, like grocery gift cards, deposits to your Christmas Club account are like legal tender, so the Fuel voucher will be generated when you "spend" your Christmas Club funds, not deposit them.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I top up my travel card?
No, top ups of travel cards, such as AT Hop Cards and Snapper Cards do not contribute to the qualifying spend.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase a phone top up card?
No, a purchase of a phone top up card does not qualify as a valid purchase for a Fuel voucher, so you would need to reach the discount spend limit excluding the phone top up purchase.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase a Prezzie Cards, Bonfire Cards, Gift card?
No, a purchase of a Prezzie Cards, Bonfire Cards or any other Giftcard does not qualify as a valid purchase for a Fuel voucher.
Can I get Fuelup vouchers at all PAK’nSAVE supermarkets?

Terms and Conditions
Obtaining a Fuelup voucher
1. Fuelup Supermarket Fuel Vouchers are operated by Foodstuffs Fuel Limited (Foodstuffs) in conjunction with Z Energy Limited and its subsidiaries (Z).
2. Participating PAK’nSAVE supermarkets (see above for list of participating supermarkets) may issue Fuelup vouchers to customers that make a qualifying purchase instore and do not swipe their Club+ card at the checkout at time of purchase. Customers who swipe their Club+ card at checkout may be eligible to earn a Club+ Fuel Discount. See Club+ Fuel Discount Terms & Conditions here.
3. To obtain a Fuelup voucher a minimum spend in a single transaction on qualifying purchases may apply. The minimum spend amount may change from time to time and may depend on the value of discount offered by any Fuelup voucher. The following items will not be included as qualifying purchases for the purpose of calculating minimum spend: Christmas Club deposits, gift cards, prepaid debit cards, travel card top ups, phone card top ups, tobacco and other smoking products, New Zealand Lotteries tickets, fuel, donations, and service fees, online delivery, click and collect and bag fees, , and any other fees, deposits and purchases that may be determined by us from time to time.
4. Online purchases from PAK’nSAVE stores are not eligible to earn a Fuelup voucher. However, Club+ members who make a purchase from a PAK’nSAVE online store may be eligible to earn a Club+ Fuel Discount. See Club+ Fuel Discount Terms & Conditions here.
Redeeming a Fuelup voucher
5. Fuelup vouchers can be redeemed at all Z service stations and participating Caltex service stations. Fuelup vouchers can be redeemed at Fuel Sites by presenting a Fuelup voucher to the service station staff member inside the service station or by scanning it at the outdoor payment terminal.

6. Fuelup vouchers cannot be redeemed at PAK’nSAVE on-site fuel stations.
7. A Fuelup voucher will provide the customer redeeming the voucher with a ‘cents per litre’ discount (including GST) off the applicable retail price of a fuel purchase from a Fuel Site as at the date of purchase. Fuel purchases:
- include all grades of motor spirit (including ethanol blended automotive spirit) and automotive diesel; but
- do not include lubricants, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and any other form of fuel not listed above.
8. Each Fuelup voucher:
- can only be used once in conjunction with payment by cash, EFTPOS, debit or credit card or gift vouchers; and
- cannot be used in conjunction with a payment by a commercial fleetcard, including Z Business Card; and
- cannot be used in conjunction with a payment by the Z App or Caltex App.
9. Each Fuelup voucher:
- will have a finite period within which it can be redeemed; and
- after the stated expiry date, it will no longer be able to be accepted by any Fuel Site.
10. Only one Fuelup voucher may be redeemed at a time by a single customer for a single vehicle or boat fill. Customers cannot use multiple Fuelup vouchers on a single purchase of fuel to obtain a greater discount.
11. The maximum amount of fuel that can be purchased with a Fuelup voucher discount applying to the purchase is 100 litres. If a customer purchases more than 100 litres when a Fuelup voucher is redeemed, the discount will apply to the first 100 litres, after this volume has been reached the pricing for additional litres purchased will revert to the normal retail price.
12. A Fuelup voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other form of discount or promotion (unless expressly provided for in a specific promotion’s Terms and Conditions). If a Fuelup voucher is scanned this will determine the fuel discount.
13. Only original Fuelup vouchers can be redeemed. This includes physical copies or email copies. Z & participating Caltex service stations reserves the right to refuse to redeem copied, damaged or defaced Fuelup vouchers.
14. Fuelup vouchers can only be redeemed once.
15. Customers who redeem Fuelup vouchers at Z & participating Caltex service stations will continue to be able to collect Airpoints Dollars™ on eligible purchases at Z & participating Caltex service stations, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions for Collecting Airpoints™ at Z found here: Airpoints™ terms and conditions – Z Energy, Z is for New Zealand and the Terms and Conditions for Collecting Airpoints™ at Caltex found here: Caltex.
16. Foodstuffs and Z reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time for any reason without prior notice. Any updated Terms and Conditions will be available here.
17. Foodstuffs and Z reserve the right to terminate, modify or suspend Fuelup vouchers at any time and without prior notice. Any such change would be notified on paknsave.co.nz.
