What are fuel vouchers?
PAK’nSAVE fuel vouchers give you a discount off fuel at the issuing stores fuel site. You can earn fuel discounts when you shop at certain PAK’nSAVE supermarkets with a fuel site on the premises.
Where can I redeem my fuel vouchers?
You can redeem PAK’nSAVE fuel vouchers at the issuing store's fuel site.
How much do I have to spend on groceries to get the discount?
To gain an everyday discount of 6c per litre, you only need to spend $1 or more. We also offer other promotional discounts from time to time which may require you to spend more to gain the discount offered. Check your supermarket fuel voucher for the current offer.
How do I get my fuel voucher?
A fuel voucher is earned with a qualifying purchase. Participating store receipts will have the voucher attached.
What discount do I get?
The fuel saving depends on the promotional offer at any given time. Check your supermarket fuel voucher for the current offer.
What kinds of fuel can I get the discount on?
Fuel vouchers can be redeemed for regular and premium unleaded petrol plus diesel. LPG, CNG, AvGas purchases are excluded.
How much fuel can I buy with my fuel voucher?
Fuel vouchers offer a monetary discount per litre off the purchase cost of fuel – determined by the promotional fuel saving offer at any given time. Fuel vouchers can be redeemed for up to $200 per fill.
How do I redeem my fuel voucher?
Fuel vouchers must be presented at the time of purchase to qualify for the fuel savings. Follow instructions on the payment terminal.
Can I use my fuel voucher more than once?
No, fuel vouchers can be used once only.
Can I use my fuel voucher to fill more than one vehicle?
No, the voucher is valid for only one single tank fill of no more than $200.
Can I present more than one fuel voucher at a time?
No, you can present only one voucher at a time for a discount.
How long does my fuel voucher last for?
The expiry date is printed on the voucher.
Can I use my fuel voucher with other fuel discount promotional offers?
No, fuel vouchers cannot be combined with other fuel discount promotional offers.
My fuel voucher doesn’t work - what should I do?
If you’re at the fuel site, talk to the team instore by using the intercom at the fuel site or by popping back in to the customer service desk. Otherwise, give the store that issued the voucher a call and they’ll investigate and resolve the issue.
Do I get a fuel voucher if I purchase a grocery gift card?
No, grocery gift cards are like legal tender, so the fuel voucher will be generated when you ‘spend’ the grocery gift card, not buy them.
Do I get a fuel voucher if I purchase cigarettes or tobacco?
Cigarette or tobacco purchases do not contribute to the qualifying spend amount due to legal restrictions.
Do I get a fuel voucher if I purchase a Lotto ticket?
No, a purchase of a NZ Lotteries ticket does not qualify as a valid purchase for a fuel voucher, so you would need to reach the discount spend limit excluding the NZ Lotteries ticket purchase.
Do I get a fuel voucher if I deposit funds to my Christmas Club account?
No, like grocery gift cards, deposits to your Christmas Club account are like legal tender, so the Fuel voucher will be generated when you "spend" your Christmas Club funds, not deposit them.
Do I get a fuel voucher if I top up my travel card?
No, top ups of travel cards, such as AT Hop Cards and Snapper Cards do not contribute to the qualifying spend.
Do I get a Fuelup voucher if I purchase a phone top up card?
No, a purchase of a phone top up card does not qualify as a valid purchase for a Fuel voucher, so you would need to reach the discount spend limit excluding the phone top up purchase.
Can I get fuel vouchers at all PAK’nSAVE supermarkets?
No, some PAK’nSAVE supermarkets do not have a fuel outlet at their location, so instead they offer Fuelup vouchers which give you a discount off fuel at Z petrol stations. You can earn Fuelup vouchers at participating PAK’nSAVE stores nationwide. View the full list of participating supermarkets here.
Can I get a fuel voucher when I shop at PAK’nSAVE online shopping?
Fuel vouchers can be issued for PAK’nSAVE online shopping. Minimum spend excludes service or bag fees.
Obtaining a PAK’nSAVE fuel site discount voucher
1. PAK’nSAVE fuel site discount vouchers are operated by Foodstuffs Fuel Limited (Foodstuffs).
2. Participating PAK’nSAVE supermarkets (listed below) may issue PAK’nSAVE fuel discount vouchers to customers that make a qualifying purchase, either in store or online at paknsave.co.nz/shop. Participating PAK’nSAVE stores are listed below and have a PAK’nSAVE fuel site on premises. To obtain a PAK’nSAVE fuel site discount voucher a minimum spend on qualifying purchases may apply. Online purchases must be submitted (and any editing completed) during the promotional period to qualify for the offer. The minimum spend may change from time to time and may depend on the value of discount offered by the PAK’nSAVE fuel site discount voucher. Minimum spend excludes Click & Collect service or bag fees.Christmas Club deposits, PAK’nSAVE Gift Cards, phone top ups, AT Hop Cards, Snapper Cards, tobacco products, Prezzy Cards, Bonfire Cards, Gift Cards and New Zealand lotteries tickets.
Redeeming a PAK’nSAVE fuel site discount voucher
3. PAK'nSAVE fuel site discount vouchers can only be redeemed at the issuing supermarket fuel site i.e. the fuel site on the same premises as the supermarket you received the discount voucher from.
4. PAK'nSAVE fuel site discount vouchers cannot be redeemed at any other fuel outlet.
5. A PAK'nSAVE fuel site discount voucher will provide the customer redeeming the voucher with a 'cents per litre' discount (including GST) off the applicable retail price of a fuel purchase from the Fuel Site as at the date of purchase.
6. Fuel purchases include all grades of motor spirit (including ethanol blended automotive spirit) and automotive diesel; but do not include lubricants, CNG, LPG, AvGas and any other form of fuel not listed above.
7. Each PAK'nSAVE fuel site discount voucher: i. can only be used once in conjunction with payment by cash, EFTPOS, credit card or Gift Cards; and ii. cannot be used in conjunction with a payment by a commercial fleetcard, including Z Business Card; and iii. will have a finite period within which it can be redeemed that will be stated on the voucher ; and iv. after the stated expiry date on the voucher, it will no longer be able to be accepted at the Fuel Site.
8. Only one PAK'nSAVE fuel site discount voucher may be redeemed at a time by a single customer for a single vehicle or boat fill. Customers cannot use multiple PAK'nSAVE fuel site discount vouchers on a single purchase of fuel to obtain a greater discount.
9. The maximum amount of fuel that can be purchased with a PAK'nSAVE fuel site discount voucher discount applying to the purchase is $200. If a customer purchases more than $200 when a PAK'nSAVE fuel site discount voucher is redeemed, the discount will apply to the first $200, after this volume has been reached the pricing for additional litres purchased will revert to the normal retail price.
10. A PAK'nSAVE fuel site discount voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other form of discount or promotion (unless expressly provided for in a specific promotion's terms and conditions).
11. Only original PAK'nSAVE fuel site discount vouchers can be redeemed. Foodstuffs reserves the right to refuse to redeem copied, damaged or defaced PAK'nSAVE fuel site discount vouchers.
12. PAK'nSAVE fuel site discount vouchers can only be redeemed once.
13. Foodstuffs reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and any updated terms and conditions will be posted on paknsave.co.nz.
14. Foodstuffs reserves the right to terminate, modify or suspend fuel site vouchers at any time and without prior notice. Any such change would be notified on paknsave.co.nz
