Meatball Sub Sandwich
- Serves 3-6
- Prep time: 5 mins | Cooking time: 20 mins
Make a whole foot of meaty balls with this Italian-style sub. They're good on a sandwich and good in your mouth. Succulent!
Ingredients
- 1 x pack of Pams Pork Meat Balls
- 1 or 2 fresh in store baked baguettes
- 2 cups of Pams Grated Mozzarella
- 500g jar of Pams Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce
- Lettuce or Pams Bagged Salad
Optional extras
- Side salad
- Pams Frozen Oven Fries
Method
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 10 minutes, turning them often so all sides turn brown. Add pasta sauce and let simmer on a low heat for about 5 minutes.
- Cut the baguettes into equal serving lengths (approx. 6 inches).
- Fill the baguettes with the meatballs and sauce, top with cheese and shredded lettuce.
Tips
- For extra crunch, bake or grill the open filled baguettes in the oven until the cheese is oozing.
- Instead of premade meatballs, if you have leftover mince you can use that and make your own meatballs from pork or beef mince.
- Make it a lil' fancy by adding a sprinkle of chopped fresh parsley or basil.
