Easy Slow Cooked Italian Sausages
Whether you’re feeding a crowd or simply getting through a weeknight dinner, these Italian-style slow cooked sausages are an easy and affordable way to put food on the table. Try mixing them up with your favourite Italian herbs for an extra bit of oomph.

- 8 Pams Italian Pork Sausages
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 tins tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 garlic cloves, diced
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cups mixed frozen vegetables
- 4 potatoes
- Place ingredients (except the potatoes) in a slow cooker, stir until liquid is combined and cook on low for 3-4 hours..
- If there is quite a bit of liquid, thicken with 2 Tbsp flour mixed with a small amount of water and stir through, cook on high for 10-15 mins to thicken up. Add more flour/water mix if needed.
- Peel and chop the potatoes into equal pieces. Boil in salted water for about 15-20 minutes until soft. Drain water out in a colander, then add back to the pot or bowl. Season with salt and pepper, add a tablespoon of butter and a splash of milk if desired, then mash thoroughly.
- Serve the sausages on a bed of mashed potatoes.
Tips:
For moist, caramelised sausage, slice before cooking into coin shaped pieces.

Why is Italian sausage more pink?
Sometimes this depends on the seasoning added to the sausage, most often cayenne pepper, paprika, and other red seasonings will make the sausage appear more pink before it’s cooked.
