How long can raw lamb last in the freezer?
Being able to store lamb in the freezer means you can stock up when it's on special! Raw lamb can be kept in the freezer for 2 to 6 months depending on the cut. Read our quick tips for storing lamb below.

Freezing times based on cut
Lamb mince and small cuts: 2 to 3 months
Lamb mince and smaller lamb cuts should be double-wrapped in heavy-duty cling film or foil then an airtight container or freezer bag. These can be safely frozen for 2 to 3 months.
Large lamb joints: 4 to 6 months
Large lamb joints can be left in their original packaging, then wrapped again in an airtight freezer bag, labelled with the date and placed in the freezer for 4 to 6 months.
Once frozen, the original use-by-date is superseded by the new frozen date. It’s a good idea to write the new use-by-date on the freezer packaging and rotate food in your freezer to ensure the oldest meat is used first.
